Sidenote or sparkplug?

The Gospel must never be a sidenote or a related after-thought in the believer’s life. Instead, it must be the driving force and motivator of everything. The Gospel must pervade the entirety of the Christian’s life through and through, whether in direct thoughts of God, applicable ideas of Christian living, or seemingly indirect musings of one’s “secular” life. The Gospel is not a mentionable sidenote, but instead the single most important sparkplug for all things involving Christian existence.
